Long Lasting Protection from Germs & Bacteria
Max Germ GuardTM Fibre ShieldTMrecently launched by Vitec Global is a fabric protector that breaks with convention in many unique ways. For a start, it is chemically different from the usual array of antimicrobials and disinfectants, it is water-stabilized, and the protection is not destroyed by further washing and cleaning of the fabric.
"People need a powerful fabric protector against the menace of microbes in household fabrics," said Chris Lomas, managing director of Vitec Global. "On average, carpets contain over seven billion bacteria per square metre, and upholstered settees and easy chairs have their full share too.
One major break with convention was to make the product totally environmentally friendly so it can be used anywhere quite harmlessly. It contains no mercury, lead or tin, or heavy metals of any kind, and it contains no phenols or formaldehyde either. Exhaustive tests show this to be one of the most environmentally friendly fabric protector chemicals available on the market today.
Another unconventional approach taken by Max Germ GuardTM Fibre ShieldTM is its ability to modify the surfaces it is used on by making them permanently algicidal, fungicidal and (most importantly) bactericidal.
How to use FibreShield -
Fibre Shield can be applied to new or newly cleaned carpets and fabrics. Using the measuring cap, dispense 60ml into a 5 litre pump sprayer. This will cover and average of 20 square metres. Fill the remainder with water and gently shake. Once mixed use within one hour. Wear suitable gloves and face mask when applying. Allow to dry.
