ACTIUM is a completely new formulation patented formulation whose "active" ingredients lift and suspend all soil and grease contamination from the pores of mineral and epoxy surfaces, keeping them in the water solution, so allowing all contaminants to be rinsed off. When used as part of a regular floor maintenance program, it will leave the surfaces clean and residue free, greatly improving traction.
Every Cleaner says it cleans......Why is ACTIUM Professional special ?
Because of ACTIUM's ability to suspend soil and grease in water, the surface traction is restored, even while the cleaner, soil, grease and water are still on the floor, prior to rinsing. As many slip falls occur during maintenance, this is a significant safety improvement. Compare with your existing cleaner.
What is so special about a residue free floor ?
Residue is essentially microscopic particles of soap scum created by all alkaline cleaners as they combine grease or oils with alkaline, encapsulating further particles of soil and grease as well as mineral deposits from tap water. These particles lodge themselves into the pores of tile surfaces and polymerize, creating a slippery surface. As the floor dries, these particles revert to crystals (effectively dry soap crystals). Now spill some water, or track in some rain from outside and you are walking on wet soap. A residue free floor greatly reduces slip / fall risks.
What makes ACTIUM Professional residue free ?
ACTIUM Professional is mildly acidic in pH. At a 1 : 40 dilution for daily cleaning, the pH of the solution is between 6.2 and 6.8 (neutral is 7.0) depending on the hardness or softness of the tap water. Actium Professional dissolves soap and grease. Alkalis help make them.
Why isn't Actium Professional a ‘Once and Done' product? It would be much easier.
Easier perhaps, but not cleaner or safer. Have you ever wondered where all the soap, soil and grease disappears to with 'once and done' products? It has to be the finest conjuring trick ever devised...or just clever marketing...
If alkaline cleaners that require rinsing leave dry soap residue on floors, you can imagine what is left behind by ‘once and done' products. As the floor is mopped, so the grease and soil is spread as a microfilm, which eventually forms a hard crust (polymerization) that stains the surface. You see it everywhere, particularly in grout lines, which are more porous, and so become black, black with trapped grease particles and decomposing soil. Hygienic isn't it? We haven't even mentioned slipperiness. We believe that applying Actium and then rinsing with clean water is a small effort to make for increased safety and better hygiene.
Will ACTIUM Professional affect the environment ?
No. ACTIUM is formulated on some of the ingredients that are used in the cosmetics industry to manufacture skin exfoliants that deep clean the pores of human skin. Actium Professional is completely biodegradable.
What kind of surfaces can ACTIUM be used on ?
ACTIUM can be used on ceramic and quarry tiles, porcelain, granite, slate, marble, terrazzo, concrete, brick, painted floors, rubber tiles, stainless steel, chrome, copper, brass, aluminum, glass, epoxy floors, fibreglass, ABS plastic, lexan plastic, grout, interior or exterior surfaces.
Can I use ACTIUM Professional in rest rooms ?
ACTIUM Professional can be used in rest rooms on most surfaces to clean and sanitize them. For this use we recommend a dilution ratio of 1:20 (3 capful to 1 Litre of water). It is highly effective on soap scum. In most instances it will dissolve on contact although the use of a green pad for slight agitation may help. You could also consider using Actium Anti Bacterial for these areas, which will clean and sanitize in one action.
Will grout be affected ?
No. ACTIUM Professional will not affect the integrity or colour of grout. It will simply clean it. At a dilution ratio of 1:20 Actium Professional is a very effective grout cleaner.
Is Actium Professional safe in food preparation areas?
Yes. Actium Professional is food safe. It contains no dyes or fragrance and has been tested by Product Safety Assessment Limited., who stated in their report: "Where food comes into contact with a surface sprayed and wiped with the diluted product, the amount likely to be ingested following use of a 1 : 20 dilution of the product is one 50,000th of the amount likely to cause a serious effect on health. This is a very high margin of safety".
Where has ACTIUM been used in the field?
ACTIUM is available throughout the USA (NFS Registered) where it was first introduced four years ago. It is now also available in Canada (CFIA approved) and in Australia. Major users include Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Sports Complexes, Schools, Universities, Hotels, Casinos, Restaurants (including national chains), Food Processors and the US State Department.
In the United Kingdom, Actium is used in a wide variety of industries, ranging from Food Processing companies, to Restaurants, Hotels and Fitness Centres, as well as Car Manufacturers, Schools, Contract Cleaning Companies and Local Authorities
